High pressure meets low pressure: A perfect storm

    July 12, 2024

In today’s rapidly evolving and fiercely competitive tech industry, the mantra “scale or fail” has never been more relevant. Companies are under constant pressure to grow, innovate, and adapt to ever-changing technologies and business transformations. This high-pressure environment often translates into high stress for leaders and their teams. However, amid the relentless drive for success, achieving a balance between work and life remains crucial. We do our best to foster a low-pressure culture at The Odigo Group, but there are always going to be those inevitable moments where a high-pressure industry collides with low-pressure people to create a perfect storm. Enter the tech industry budget freeze and massive layoffs of 2022 and 2023 followed immediately by widespread adoption of OpenAI, and team members are reeling to do more with less – performing better, smarter, faster, and with fewer resources than ever before. Maintaining a low-pressure culture in a high-pressure industry has been no small feat.
